Part of being a CCSU Cheerleader is to help out the New Britain
Community as well as local and national areas. Listed below are some of the community services they have provided for the
2006 to 2007 season.
Breast Cancer Walk - October 15, 2006
The CCSU Cheerleaders helped raise money for Breast Cancer this year. They

Supporting our Troops!
- October 15, 2006
One of our cheerleaders has a brother in Iraq, and one of his Sargents is organizing a big suprise for the rest
of the troops over seas. They've been deployed in Iraq since the beginning of July, and will be there until the end of
January (tentatively). They will be missing Christmas this year, so he and his wife, who is home here in the states, are
organizing families and friends to make and decorate ornaments for them. Not only are people decorating ornaments,
but they are sending over little christmas trees, and they will be put into the mess halls for the guys as a suprise for christmas.
We love and support our troops!
November 2006
This Thanksgiving, the CCSU Cherleaders helped make other families Thanksgiving a little brighter by donating canned
items to the local food bank.
